Crankbaits are the basic needs of any angler who loves fishing with modern techniques. You can catch your own minnows and use them to catch big walleyes and king salmons. But finding, catching, and keeping the live bait alive are not easy tasks. If you still want to go with live baits and need a crankbait guide then you will find it on my site.
For this moment let’s stay to the crankbaits we buy from the market. I have also posted a review of the best crankbaits available on the market you can check it out.
Berkley flicker minnow 11 deep diver
Today I am talking about the Berkley flicker minnow 11 deep diver that always works for you every time you give them a chance.
I have been a fan of Berkley flicker minnow 11 deep divers for years because it always catches you fish. If you are using shads of different brands to catch your walleyes then you must give Flicker minnows a try for once. I bet after trying Berkley flicker minnow you won’t return to shads.
The shads are obviously fine options in various situations. But when it comes to stable and heating weather conditions I recommend you to go with Berkley flicker minnow. The standard shads are not as aggressive as the Berkley flicker minnows that’s what we need in heating summers. That’s why Berkley flicker minnow is a safe option to stick with.
In the spring, I will generally recommend you to utilize the more modest lures like the #5 or #7… however, when it gets into summer, it’s all #9s or for the most part #11s.
Don’t underestimate the size of these pencil baits because they always leave you amazed with their results.
The #11 is the longest lure in the Berkley arms stockpile, at 4 1/2 creeps long. This bait is supposed to dive almost 23 feet in the water that’s sufficient.
It’s not bad at all but during summers you would need to get your bait down in the water to catch really big walleyes. And that’s the moment when you would need to use snap weights to acquire enough depth.
As I would like to think, and I’m no bait creator, I’d very much want to see these with a greater bill to draw it nearer to 30 feet while long covering.
The movement of this minnow is contagious and catches the walleyes every time.
If you are also a walleye trolling love but not keeping any Flicker minnow in your fishing arsenal then you are going the wrong bro. make sure to keep a couple of Flicker minnows to get out of hard situations easily. Just give them a try and they will never let you down.
