Step 1: Select The Perfect Template
First of all, you need to choose a perfect template for your ebook. For this, you can search for “ebook” on the search bar of Canva. After that, you will see hundreds of templates including both free and paid. If you don’t want to use templates and design your ebook from scratch then just select the size of the page and you are all set.
Step 2: Customize Your Template
Everything on Canva is completely editable. In that way, you can customize the templates as per your needs. If you have a specific design in your mind you can just get started from scratch.
Edit And Format The Text
As mentioned above everything in Canva is editable. You just need to select the textbook you want to change and change it. You can change Headings, subheadings, or paragraphs as per your needs. After selecting the text box you can insert your text.
You better create a word file so that you just could copy and paste everything. You can add headings, subheadings, or paragraphs from the left side of the menu bar.

Step 3: Change the Colors

Step 4: Add, Duplicate, Move, or Delete Pages
You can simply add a blank page in your ebook but clicking the “+” icon on the top of the page. You will get a new blank page after the targeted page. You can simply add a new sheet by just clicking on Add Page button at the bottom.
One important thing to be noted: You can create one ebook consisting of 100 pages only.
If your ebook consists of more than 100 pages you can create multiple ebooks. After that, you can download all the ebooks in the form of pdf and then merge them all. You can use any online tool to merge pdf files.
- To make more duplicates of a current page, simply click on the Copy button.
- To move a page all over, click on the Bolts buttons at the left of the Copy button.
- To erase a page, simply click on the Waste symbol at the right.

After adding a new page you would need to add a new layout. You can design it as per your requirements if you want or add an existing layout from the theme.

Canva doesn’t have the option to add page numbers in your ebook automatically. You need to add page numbers manually.

- Move it to the position where you want to display the page count.
- Write the page number.

After completing the design of your ebook you should proofread it to avoid any mistakes. You should proofread the text, headings, and subheadings. You can also check the final results of your ebook. Make sure the design is ok and the text is mistakes-free.
You can proofread your whole ebook by following these simple steps.
- Go to the Canva toolbar at the bottom of the page.
- Click on the full-screen arrows icon.
- Use the arrows at the bottom or click on the left or right side of the screen to browse through the pages.
- Press Esc on your keyboard to exit full-screen mode.
